A preg,nant lady on Saturday, can also 26, allegedly set her husband and herself ablaze over alleged infidelity at their Sabon Gari house in Kano, 5 weeks after their wedding ceremony.
It became gathered that the lady accused her husband of infidelity after she overheard a smartphone verbal exchange among him and an unidentified lady. She snatched the cellphone with him and threatened to do something terrible.
Later same night time, she poured fuel on an already burning gas cooker which exploded and engulfed her and the husband.
The lady died at the scene of the incident at the same time as the husband suffered severe burns. He was rushed to citadel health center at Sarki Yaki and later to another undisclosed health center wherein he died the day before today.
The stays of the couple were deposited at an undisclosed mortuary. The couple are from Awka, Anambra kingdom.
Spokesperson for the Kano country Police Command, DSP Musa Majiyawho confirmed the incident, stated detectives from the command has began an investigation.
