Following the new improvement, the Civil Defense, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Board has coordinated that all officers with HND ought to be moved up to COMPASS 08, which is the pay review level for holders of degree authentications at passage point.
An executive meeting led by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, endorsed the regularization of the pay rates on Tuesday in Abuja.
As indicated by an announcement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji:
"The board guided that all officers with HND to be moved up to COMPASS 08, which is the compensation review level for holders of degree endorsements at section point.
"While the terminology for the HND holders will begin with the rank of Senior Inspector, the degree holders are with the rank of Assistant Superintendent II."
